About Me

My Background

I am Andres Tello Borrero, originally from Panama City, Panama. Currently, I am in my second year, first semester, pursuing a BA in International Affairs and a minor in European Peace and Global Security at the Brussels School of Governance in Brussels, Belgium.

Professional Experience

In 2023, I completed a summer internship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Panama. I worked within the Exterior Politics Department, focusing on Panama's relations with European countries. This experience provided valuable insights into international diplomacy and foreign policy.

SWOT Analysis

Strenghts:

This course helped me tremendously to stay more informed about global conflicts, both in terms of warfare and humanitarian assistance, as it sparked my interest in learning, reading, and researching the appropriate use of force. The classes were highly valuable because they were always interactive and kept me constantly engaged, ensuring that I never lost interest in strengthening my knowledge of the subject.

Weaknesses:

The content was quite extensive, and I’m not used to having to read and take so many notes, so keeping up with my classmates was challenging. However, with effort, I was able to manage and succeed.

Opportunities:

Having to constantly take notes helped me apply what I learned in the Military Approaches to Security course to my other academic classes, which made studying and performing well in my subjects much easier.

Threats:
Having to divide my time in order to manage all my courses, along with everything that comes with moving to another country and living alone for the first time in my life, can be quite challenging and, at times, frustrating. Sometimes it’s very difficult to have everything under control, no matter how much I try.
